Thanks Edward,
(Just a correction our standard octane is 95 RON.)
The higher octane does look better but still not very pretty
Service is done, plugs and coolant to follow. I will also have the exhaust people have a look for leaks as I'm not sure how effective the dealer was when inspecting it.
I would like to get that sorted before we up the octane levels any further.
Regards
Paul

v10 Stats
Car almost finish tuning. Just to review v11 log and that's it.

Hi Edward,
Do you believe the torque curve would look any different if I use manual mode or does it not affect how the torque converter works?
I'm not sure how they calculate the graph, but when you floor it in auto mode, it jumps from under 2,000rpm to above 2,500rpm in the same gear as the torque converter is not in overdrive. Surely that would produce a completely different graph than a proper manual gearbox?
I would like to test this by doing a 2nd gear pull in manual mode and one in 3rd gear as well. If their formula is correct then all three should be identical copies of each other. Assuming I can find a flat piece of road long enough to do the 3rd gear pull as well. My normal route I use is at an incline and flattens out before I hit max rpm in 3rd.
Anyway, if I look at that torque curve no wonder I'm having such a problem with the car, there is no torque when cruising. For such a heavy car I was expecting a much flatter torque curve.
Do you want me to log v10 in my area for comparison with Saturdays log?
Then at what point do you want me to log the stock ROM?

It would be nice to see stock power since it was pretty unstable.
Yes one would think Force Induction on the 3R would be great for power in the Tribeca.
What happens you can reduce the rpm zone to see the graph a little better.
When doing a dyno, just log rpm and speed. This allow more data points.

Ok, will do that once you are happy with the ROM.
I was just comparing my torque curve with other similar year model 3R's you've tuned. They essentially have 180 between 2,000 and 6,000/6,500 rpm. Mine is only from 3,000rpm to 6,000rpm.

It depends on how of rpm they start, and how the graph looks. I usual start from 2000-2500.
For you tranny, things settle around 2500+rpm. Maybe when you run just rpm and speed for dynoes, we will see.

Hi Edward,
Ok, when I log the stock vs final tune dynoes I will only log rpm and speed.

Paul
