I have been chatting with Edward via email and msn for a few weeks now about analysing some logs to see what my vehicle is doing?

Was I in for a surprise when he thought that my map was stock!

There was a bit of pinging and the ecu was pulling timing everywhere. So i decided to bite the bullet and engage Edward to tune it.

After a lot of reading and mucking aorund with laptops and Windows 7. I was finally able to use Romraider and more importantly Ecuflash safely.

Both was I sweating when I reflashed the ecu today for the first time with Edward's "finding" map V0.

Big sigh of relief when the car started and was idling.

Took the car for a bit of a drive tonight to get some logs for Edward. Car was surprisingly more responsive, but a bit doughy up top.

So will be interesting to see how V1 feels.

Up to V2 Rom now. Edward is still trying to controll the pinging and get the IAM to stabilise.

Car feels a bit stronger through the gears. I have to find some clear roads to do some decent logs for him.

IAM Is getting stable. v6 rom release should have the IAM very stable at 1, making power consistent.

After a weekend of driving and logging for Edward racking up many kms.

We are up to V5 of the Rom.

Power is now much more linear and throttle response is improving all the time as well. Fuel quality is an issue where I am and I think it is takign Edward a bit longer to sort out.

But patience is the key and we are getting there.

Hopefully the IAM will be stable with V6 and Edward can start to fine tune the map.

Extremely happy with the service that Edward provides. The man does not sleep. :D

V6 loaded and logs analysed by Edward above.

Looks as though we might have controlled the IAM. I am running some fuel injector cleaner through the tank and Edward has sent me V7 which had some temperature compensation changes to the maps.

Will be using this rom until the next tank of fuel.

I am going to use a Premium for the next lot of logs as the BP Ultimate we get up here isn't very good and a bit suspect.

If there isn't any difference in the logs we will tune for the Premium.

This is why tuning for indivdual vehicles and local conditions is so important.
