v0 - First Start-up

Post by KeithC »

V0 Start up was noticeably quieter from my own attempt.
Start up was crisp and clean and idles smooth a bit less smooth in gear but nothing to be upset about.
10%-25% throttle was very effective, feels like we're making more power with a lot less boost already.
Slight sputter at low throttle < 5% after idling in the driveway for 10 minutes but did not repeat itself. Currently the outside temp is 96 deg F.

V1 feels stong, definitely feels faster off the line than before and with only 12 psi. Having an issue with light throttle stall. Feeling hesitation/jerking between 3800-5500 rpm.

V2 is exceptional for power delivery. Edward does a great job blending the engine requirements with firm positive transmission shifts. The boost recovery on the Gt3076r is night and day from when we started. At 16psi this tune produces better response and feels so much faster than it used to on 18psi. The car DRIVES better than before. The paddle shifters feel much more effective. The boost lag is less noticeable with every iteration. This is a reminder that tuning the 5eat is more than just adjusting requested torque values. The only issue I'm having is a factory override for that makes the car shift at 6500 RPM in manual mode.

V3-5 were my issues chasing a mysterious intake leak. Once this was correct my issues disappeared. Car continues to make more power and have better response.

V6- 18.5psi feels incredible while in drive and with sport. As the vehicle makes more power the paddle downshift and upshift becomes more crisp. Car is over 300whp at less than 6500 RPM.

Edward is doing fantastic. Will upgrade wastegate spring from 11 psi to 18 psi and hopefully tune for 20psi on Nevada 91 octane!

Will post video after next update.
